October is always a special month in Thornley Village, as our community comes together to celebrate the season of harvest, gratitude, and giving. This year, St Bartholomew Church will once again host the much-loved Thornley Village Harvest Festival, a highlight in the local calendar that brings visitors, villagers, families and friends together.
Thornley Village Harvest Festival 2025
Date: Friday, 17th October 2025
Time: 7.00 p.m.
Venue: St Bartholomew’s Church, Thornley Village
Join us for a warm and welcoming evening as we celebrate the Thornley Village Harvest Festival at St Bartholomew Church.
Help Decorate St Bartholomew’s Church
If you have an eye for creativity or simply enjoy lending a hand, we would love your help in preparing the church for the Harvest Festival.
Decoration Help Needed: Thursday, 16th October 2025 from 2.30 p.m. onwards.
Volunteers are invited to come along and assist with decorating the church. Flowers, foliage, and produce will be used to create a beautiful harvest display that truly reflects the spirit of Thornley Village.
Donations
As part of our harvest celebrations, the PCC are collecting donations of tins and non-perishable foods. All contributions will be given to The Salvation Army, who provide vital support to individuals and families in need throughout the region.
Please bring your donations either when you come to help decorate or on the evening of the Harvest Festival service itself. Every tin and packet makes a difference.
Harvest Supper – Everyone Welcome!
Following the Harvest Festival service, everyone is warmly invited to stay for a Harvest Supper held in St Bartholomew Church.
We’ll be sharing a finger buffet together - donations towards the food are most welcome. It’s a lovely opportunity to chat and enjoy good company after the service.
Whether you’re visiting Thornley Village or have lived here all your life, this is a great way to share in the community spirit.
